Everything was fantastic, except for the service. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt due to the fact that my mother and I arrived right when Happy Hour began, but still... First off the couple ahead of us wound up seated, which is not the hostess's fault, the couple answered to my name and found an opportunity. After we were seated, we did not receive small plates or silverware until we asked after our food arrived; however my mom needed a fork instead of the provided chopsticks and we asked three times--one person I asked was someone names Ivan, and I watched him talk to two or three tables before we were forgotten. Thankfully that same hostess managed to get one. I can't really complain about our server because I think we were seated at the same time as another large party, and he was forced to focus on them more. It was unfortunate that we only saw him at the beginning and end of our meal. All in all, our lunch in Kabuki was satisfying. Just be sure to set your bar low if you arrive just before happy hour.

I came in to find a nice place to read with my huskies. Their patio was so nice and the servers never once forgot about me! They were kind, knew the menu and so helpful. I adore this place and their happy hour menu is wonderful ❤️ I look forward to going back and thank you again for the spectacular service and sushi!

The sushi is the best 👌 in town. I go to the one in orange county too and this one is just as good. It is fresh, affordable, hasn't got me sick. It is the sushi you get in san diego and Hawaii. It is the real Japanese sushi and last time it was closing and the sign said.... seating no more guests tonight... and the manager was like come on in we will take you!!!! 5 star service and the Latino bartender is super kind and helpful. Tip your server BIG!!! They work so hard. They are very clean!!

It's a very popular place, I went during happy hour and highly recommend going at this time. The portions seem small but they are very filling. Got about four items from the happy hour menu and I was so full by the end of it. Very nice wait staff. The bathroom was ok. Will be going back

I ate here during happy hour, and I can’t help but wonder if the quality was lowered just because of that. The rolls were cut unevenly and looked sloppy, very unappealing. The salmon and scallop were not fresh, and the taste was disappointing. They also used mayonnaise for the sauce, which gave the rolls a strange sour flavor, and the scallop sushi was clearly made with cheap-quality scallops. The only good dishes were the seaweed salad and the mixed tempura, while the calamari was bland and undersalted. What frustrates me most is that the happy hour menu still lists the same items from the full menu, so why should the quality be any different? A restaurant’s brand is built on consistency, and serving guests lower quality during happy hour only damages trust. Honestly, even the sushi selling at Aeon Mall (a Japanese chain supermarket, you can imagine that you come to Costco buy sushi) in Vietnam looks fresher, more appealing, and tastes better than what I had here.
